TLTStructures
Transmission line towers are a part of Powertransmission line that is used for transmission of power from the point of generation to sub-stations/switchyards where power is further transmitted for consumption. Actual power is transmitted through the conductor and this type of towers are used to maintain proper ground clearance and keep the conductor overhead, hence transmission lines are also called overhead transmission lines. The design of these towers depends on wind zone, conductor load, KV class and degree of deviation. As these towers are used for a long period of time, they are galvanized for protection against corrosion and the galvanizing thickness depends upon the weather conditions of the region where tower is installed.
